When Amsale Aberra began designing wedding gowns in 1985 the business exclusively serviced a custom design clientele. Amsale turned a bride's vision into reality, and invited her client to share in each step of the creative process. Today, the Amsale Design Group includes three brands and services clients all over the world. The brand has grown in its capabilities but the core objective remains—producing beautiful quality gowns for brides.
The Original Couture Design service revisits Amsale's bridal roots by offering a bride the opportunity to wear a gown on her wedding day that is created exclusively for her. Our Couture Design option is geared toward a sophisticated and discriminating woman who wants to be involved in the creation of her wedding gown. Restoring the true meaning to the term "couture" the bride who participates in this service will be entitled to a sketching session with the designer of her choice and a Couture Design Specialist from our New York Flagship Salon. During this visit the bride will have the opportunity to share her ideas about the dress of her dreams. The designer will bring the sketch of choice to life in the form of a made to measure muslin version of the bride's gown. Finally, the actual gown will be created using the finest fabrics, lace, and or beading detail. An Amsale Original Couture Design gown is literally like none other.
